Attestive Terms of Service
1. Who we are
Attestive is a service operated by [Your AS name], a company registered in Norway (“Attestive,” “we,” “us”). These Terms govern your access to and use of the Attestive platform, including our API, dashboard, and related services (the “Service”).
2. What the Service does
Attestive provides tamper-evident, hash-chained logging of AI agent decisions, together with framework citation mapping and evidence export. Full details of the security model are described at attestive.io/trust, which is incorporated into these Terms by reference.
3. Accounts
You must provide accurate information when creating an account. You’re responsible for safeguarding your API keys and any credentials issued to you — Attestive is not liable for losses caused by your failure to keep credentials secure. Notify us immediately at hello@attestive.io if you suspect a key has been compromised.
4. Acceptable use
You may not use the Service to log, store, or process data you don’t have the right to process, to circumvent the Service’s rate limits or usage tiers through technical workarounds, or to attempt to gain unauthorized access to other customers’ data.
5. Fees and billing
Fees are as described at attestive.io/pricing, or as separately agreed in an Enterprise order. Fees are billed [monthly/annually] in advance and are non-refundable except as required by law. We may change pricing with 30 days’ notice; continued use after the effective date constitutes acceptance.
6. Data ownership
You retain all rights to the data you submit to the Service (“Customer Data”). We claim no ownership over it. Our processing of Customer Data is governed by the Data Processing Agreement (see separate document), which forms part of these Terms.
7. The append-only guarantee, precisely stated
Once a decision record is logged, no application-facing credential — including our own backend’s operational credentials — can modify or delete it, enforced at the database permission level. This guarantee does not extend to database-owner-level access, which is a structural property of any relational database and is separate from the application layer, or to circumstances required by valid legal process. Full technical detail is at attestive.io/trust.
8. Service availability
We aim for high availability but do not guarantee uninterrupted service absent a separate SLA (available on Enterprise plans). We’ll make reasonable efforts to notify you of planned maintenance.
9. Limitation of liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, Attestive’s total liability for any claim arising from the Service is limited to the fees you paid in the 12 months preceding the claim. We are not liable for indirect, consequential, or incidental damages. Nothing in these Terms limits liability that cannot be limited under Norwegian law.
10. Termination
Either party may terminate for convenience with 30 days’ notice, or immediately for material breach. Upon termination, you may export your data for 30 days before deletion; note that logged decision records are retained per the append-only design during any active subscription, but see the DPA for deletion rights upon account closure.
11. Governing law
These Terms are governed by the laws of Norway, without regard to conflict-of-law principles. Disputes shall be resolved in the courts of [your city/jurisdiction], Norway.
12. Changes to these Terms
We may update these Terms; material changes will be notified by email or in-app notice at least 15 days before taking effect.
